Darryl Albea

Funeral services for Darryl Albea, 66, of Tignall, were held Tuesday, July 7, 2009, in the Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Palmer officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. He died Saturday, July 4, in Doctors Hospital, Augusta.

Mr. Albea was a native and lifelong resident of Wilkes County and was the son of the late Charles W. and Clara Bailey Albea. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. He was the proprietor of the Highway 17 Used Cars in Tignall.

Survivors include a sister, Phyllis Reese, Grovetown; a brother, Clint Albea, Washington; and a stepgrandson, Trey Osborne.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
