Graveside services for Ruth Psalmond Hopkins, 93, of Moore Road, Rayle, were held Saturday, January 27, 2007, at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in the Lundberg community with Rev. Larry O. Martin officiating. She died Thursday, January 25, in Martinez.
Mrs. Hopkins was a native and lifelong resident of Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late George and Kate Bailey Psalmond. She was the widow of Theodore Hopkins. She had retired from Almar Manufacturing Company and was a member of Rock United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty L. Morton, Rayle, and Peggy S. Cason, Martinez; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Marvin Psalmond.
Beggs Funeral Home of Lincolnton was in charge of arrangements.
