Mary Dillard Wright

Graveside services for Mary Dillard Wright, 95, of Washington were held Monday, October 23, 2006, at the Daniel-Bryan Cemetery in Philomath, with Rev. Randy Hardy officiating. She died Friday, October 20, at Wilkes Health Care Center, Washington.

Mrs. Wright was a native of Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Samuel Hinton Dillard and Susie Smith Dillard. She was the widow of John Goode Wright. She was a beloved retired school teacher, having taught in McDuffie County, and for 33 years in Wilkes County.

Survivors include a brother, Carlton Dillard, Augusta; and several nieces and nephews. Her siblings were the late Frances Dillard Nash, Lois Dillard Houston, Helen Dillard Bradley, Jack Dillard, and Ewing Dillard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Presbyterian Church or to the Philomath Church Preservation Association, c/ o Lawrence Nash, 2302 Crawfordville Rd., Rayle, Ga. 30660.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
