Graveside services for Percy L. Barfield, 91, of Lindsborg, Kansas, were held Thursday, August 14, 2008, in the Smoky Hill Cemetery, Lindsborg, followed by a memorial service at Bethany Home Chapel, Lindsborg.
Mr. Barfield was a native of Wilkes County and the son of the late Olin and Lucy Cosby Barfield. He had been a resident of Linsborg since 1952. He was a Disabled Veteran and former antique store owner. His first wife was the late Doris F. Wicklund; and his second wife was Estred H. Johnson Schwantes. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Disabled American Veterans; and was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include his son and his wife, Mike and Cindi Barfield of Prairie Village, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to Bethany Home, Linsdsborg Community Hospital, Trinity United Methodist Church, or Bethany College.
